A few weeks ago Andy GM7HUD asked what the size of the FT-817 connector was.
I can reveal that it's a 1.7mm/4mm outside diameter plug.
(There is also a 1.7mm/4.75mm plug about so don't get caught out.)
In fact I can't see anything special about them - they appear to be quite a
common item.
I have not yet found anyone selling the mating half socket, of which I wanted
an in-line barrel to make an extension cable with.
