Dangerous idea in some ways. LiIon cells need careful charging and
discharging control. You can ruin them by overdischarging. So the idea of
LiIon AA cells to just slot into a piece of equipment is a bit of a big
safety risk.

You can get LiIon tagged cells to build into packs. At the same time you
are meant to incorporate a discharge/charge controller into the pack. This
will ensure you cant overcharge or over discharge the cells.
