There are 8W and 10W amplifiers available. Small dish antennas give 24 db.
That setup should provide reliable links to 50 km, and possible links to
near 100 km. The cost is a bit steep, sites are hard to find, high gain
dishes are hard to align. Just makes it more interesting.
