Guys and Dolls
I am sure that we have strayed off the road a little, firstly why would
we want to send packet over the lan ???? or why would there be any
problems with our amateur radio licenses the wireless lans have nothing to
do with amateur radio......If you happened to couple the wireless lant to
your amateur system I am sure that there are many ways to block unwanted
people from getting into the Radio Amateur side of things.
This wireless lan system is extreemly interesting as far as technology
goes, We as radio amateurs should sit up take note of what has happened
under our noses and use it to our advantage instead of trying to find a
thousand reasons not to. We first of all need to get a system working
properly and understand exactly how it works then we can start worrying
about id's and all those insignificant things. We need to use the
technology to learn how to set up 2.4Gig equipment and what to do and not
to do instead of bickering and squealing.
Thanks to those that have already told us about the systems and shed some
light on the subject this 2.4gig stuff has very little to do with amateur
radio at the moment, it is a means of connecting computers together thats
all it is not internet either.
Lets learn more about it instead of shooting it down
Cheers
