Well, it could be amateur radio, but I think some major changes are needed for
it to function as an amateur radio facility.
We need a network arrangement so that a site provides an internet like service
eg ftp, arweb pages, voice etc, to an area, say half the size of Sydney or
Melbourne. Easier in Melbourne than Sydney.
It needs to be able to handle multiple connects but to do all this it will
need POWER. Until that can be acheived it will only be playing about.
There is not much point in duplicating what is being done with these 2.4 gig
boxes, unless we can establish an ISP like facility.
So lets do something different and solve the power problem.
