It is a typical situation with ham radio.
We have some bands that are not very well occupied.
13 cm. is one of those bands. If we do not use it, we
will probably lose it, and may lose it anyway.
In my opinion the best thing we could do is to create
a LOT of activity, including high power operation, to
make the point that (in the US at least) we are the
primary user of the band. Perhaps "high power" on 13 cm.
is not the full 1.5 KW, but let us at least get some 10 W
stations on air and make use of the fairly long haul links
that are possible at that power level.
