Hi Doug and readers,

WLAN isn't a word, bad or otherwise. (;->) Sure, suggest "give it a go" 
since wireless technology is great for running a remote packet connection 
just like one of those dual band repeat radios are nice for voice 
applications.

Just a word of caution (perhaps quite obvious) is never send anything via 
radio, WLAN or otherwise you don't want intercepted. You must use it for 
more than Amateur Radio which is an open circuit to begin with, WLAN is 
quite the same.
