Hi Mark and readers,
Yes, I see where you are going inasmuch as you included the Telnet I
mentioned among the protocols you listed. In other words we are in
agreememt.
"TCP/IP allows you to do so much."
True, how very true, it's extremely versitile and widely used.
You may misunderstand one fine detail about what I consider a LLL to be
by your remark about "LLL linking". You seem to be a late comer in
regards to that arena, there is a BIG difference between land line
linking and LLL linking and in fact the pointer is outlined in the FCC
R&Rs, I'll enlighten you privately if you wish. There is no point in
discussing it on the WW network since I have made it perfectly clear over
many years, still there are those who don't understand. They have
benefited nothing and never will. Now if the mail routs decide to work
for a change, perhaps such a discussion would be beneficial to both of
us, we can learn from each other, especially since you seem to be someone
with a little bit on the ball.
Hey, good luck with your experiments! With a bit of luck one day Amateurs
may have a really worthwhile worldwide digital communications system
using point to point microwave relays and satellites, and we can use the
VHF/UHF sub bands for better and more productive purposes, or at least
our grandchildren can. Like Marconi and the others, I consider guys like
you pioneers rather than someone out to change the world with the flip of
a switch like some have commented, that is the nay sayers. Well, there
have always been those who say "That'll never work." or "Ah, it's only a
passing fad." and guess what? One of those was T.A. Edison commenting on
the phonograph! (;->)
