As far as I remember, there was also such a post about using WLAN for packet
applications for several months ago...
For one year now, I'm using a local WLAN to transfer files from one PC to
another.
The WLAN side is composed with a WLAN router, PCMCIA card, WLAN AP mainly
from D-Link with 128 or 256 bits WEP encryption.
The software side is hold by my old performers: Flex32 in AXIP/UDP mode, and
Paxon 2.00.1114 with transfer rates up to 500 kb/s (not bad for a UDP link).
There's no need to say that you can forget Winpack, FBB and AGWPE. Here you
must use Bin, BS or Didadit (better for big files).
FBB and Winpack are totally out of date for years, but that's another story.
