Hello All,

Back some time ago there was alot of talk about wireless lan's and it was
somewhat interesting, but I dont know a thing about it! I do know it
sounded nice and like something I would like to try, so I got an 802.11b/g
card and installed it. I knew finding a lan out here would be hard since I
can hardly get a TV signal. I cant get anything on it (yet) but I would
like to try some other things to get a signal.

One idea is to use an old TV dish and make a high gain antenna in hopes of
connecting to someone and maybe starting up a back-woods lan here with the
others that live in this valley area. I have never seen a connector like
this card has on it, looks like a SO-259 but real small! How would you put
good low loss coax on a connector that small?

I guess I will have to listen for signals and play withI might get lucky, untill I get some others in this area to get on the air
too.

I think WIFI was a good subject but most of the talk was over my head. I
would like to get it going again and I might learn something...
