Hello,

I use Hamserv (http://www.gb7abc.net) winpack (www.peaksys.co.uk).

I also use a server from the hamserv site to pass received packet messages
to the hamserv server from winpack. In turn these messages are made
available via the NNTP protocol which is accessiable via my 2.4 GHz
2mbit/s LAN.

Hamserv also allows for connection to internet based nntp servers for the
collection of news but I would rather stay away from that so as to
preserve the RF to RF side of things. But one never knows. (sorry warren).
Apart from that most have the internet so can readily get those ham
orientated news groups themselves.

I plan on setting up FBB at some stage and then use TELNET between the FBB
and HAMSERV systems to make it a 2 way passage of messages.

I only have one user at the moment but hopefully that will change as time
goes on as several other amateurs are keen to have a play with wlan
techology.

This is a crude system but it works (not hamserv or winpack, great
programs, just the way I do it). Long term plans are to use Linux as the
base system but with only one user, I can not see the point in doing that
just yet.

Regards

Mark
