12/11/07: Worked between 0700 and 0740 WAST on 144.1 SSB
VK5DK, VK5NY, VK3KAQ, VK3VG, VK5BC, VK3II, VK3KAQ, VK5AKK, VK5ZK, VK5BC,
VK5OM,

Worked between 1921 and 1937 WAST on 144.1
VK3II, VK5BC, VK3AAK, VK5DJ, VK3XPD, VK3KAQ, VK5HDW, VK5NY, VK5ZBK.

50 mHz beacons heard and one inidentified station. He didn't listen after
making a call.

Worked on 432 at 0705 VK3KAQ. Heard him again a 1927 and heard VK5HDW 55
at 1930.

Shortest distance 2670 km, longest 3480.

My station on
144, Yaesu FT221R into HL160V linear, 17 el. long yagi up 35 feet.
432: Yaesu FT 780R 10 watts into 22 el. long yagi.
50: Icom IC 736 100 watts into 5 el. yagi.

Heard Wally VK6WG having a field day on 144, 432, 1296 and maybe even
higher. He is on a hill with a very good takeoff and has a VHF/UHF and
higher antenna system of home brew antennae and dishes to dream of. His
gear is beautifully made. Wally is nearly 97 and has just passed his
driving test for another year.

Cheers,
Bob VK6BE.
