My best DX. I have WAS for 50 megs. I have the AJD, worked all Japan
districts on 50 megs. VHFCC from both the WIA and from an English group.
Apart from those I worked T88, YB0, FK8, KH6, 9M2, ZL, VK9 (now PA29),I
received listener's reports from DU7, VS6, and I heard VU2 but did not
make a contact. I heard the XE beacon but no amateur stations were around
at the time. After I moved house I found that some DX escaped me. Perth
amateurs have worked many more countries than my tally through being
further north and in a more favourable location. I can't give a definitive
list without checking but I believe ZS, G, and some other countries were
worked. One of my neighbours worked South Korea. I heard him but missed
out on a contact.
One of my contacts was the long distance record for VK6 on 50 megs for
some 40+ years and was only broken in the last sunspot peak.
If you want more I have worked VK3, VK5 on 144 many times and still hold
the mobile 144 and 432 record of 2274.5 km. This has never been broken.

During the whole of the IGY and the subsequent research period I was the
sole reporter/observer in this region for the program run by the Stanford
University in California, sending in daily reports on acticity on 50 megs.
I hold 2 certificates from the University in acknowledgement of my
work. However that is not activity today.

And, by the way "the world and his uncle" is still on SIX in Australia. I
just counted from my log and find I have logged 127 stations since 4th
December on 50 plus about another half dozen on 144 megs all of which were
in VK3 and VK5.On 50 I worked VK1,2,3,4,5,7 and 8 plus ZL3.
Incidentally the number of amateurs in OZ was not listed in that report.
