Well after about three years of drought on VHF there have been big band
openings on six and on two over the past week. Six was open into the
eastern states all day yesterday and still there this morning. Last week 2
was open into VK5 (1200 km) and VK3 for two days. 70 cms also workable
into the eastern states. It looks as if we might have a good Es season
this year; the two metres and 70 cms were not Es however, definitely
tropo.
