Hi Michael and all,

There are no quotes around atomic energy in my tag line because my power
does indeed come from splitting uranium atoms a mer 15 miles pr so down
the road.

"Is anybody building new Atomic energy plants"?"
None have been built for decades, at the mention of nuclear anything
people go nuts in protest. It has come down to shipping nuclear materials
by stealth transport, too many nuts run over by trucks and trains.
Seriously it is, but they DO lie down on railroad tracks etc.

Right, maybe a little hydrogen is generated is produced when the reactor
is run too hard, that was the happening at Three Mile Island, there was
NO meltdown as was claimed by the anti-nuke nut cases. As for the coal
plants we have had pollution well under control for decades and have no
need to worry about CO2 being a beneficial component of the atmosphere,
it is NOT a pollutant to anyone who passed his/her science courses, high
school biology in particular. By that I mean flora and fauna, not the
birds and bees. (;->)

Nuclear waste disposal is a more serious problem than most realize, I
can't speak for other countries but here there is no such animal. Waste
is stored on site being we have no other place to put it. There was
construction of an underground mass storage site but that came to a
grinding halt when the economy flopped... now what? On the other hand a
coal fired plant produces far more ash than a nuke produces "ash" which
is extremely small by comparison but like anything else it all adds up.

As for natural gas I'm a producer so actually KB2VXA is a cogeneration
station. Hmmm, I feel a tag line coming on... naaaaaaaa.
