OK. I don't think that is a problem here though I have heard of small
privately owned planes being crashed into power lines occasionally through
lack of concentration on the part of the pilot. They know the power lines
are there.
Maybe these disks are for that. I only know what somebody told me about
the ones near here.

Our high powered TV antennae radiate 100 kw ERP.
Cheers,
Bob VK6BE.

>I doubt your birds are any smarter than ours, probably dumber than dog
poo if they need visibility markers on power lines to avoid flying into
them. No Bob, they're for pilots, the markers are where lines cross glide
paths near airports, municipal usually where light planes come in low
over fairly long paths unlike large commercial jets that lose altitude
quickly very near the end of the runway. Birds won't go anywhere near
lines over roughly 2400V phase to ground because the electrostatic field
ruffles their feathers, you'll never see them perched on high lines.
