I have no idea, but here in Kent, we all use -7, I think it was so we
could easily distinguish a mobile from others in a crowded location, ie,
the south east.  I see other places and countries use different ssid's.

I agree, it would be good to have a consencus as to which ssid's should be
used for which sort of vehicle.

However, nothing should be imposed. Anything along these lines would have
to be by full agreement only.

It seems, watching the maps as I do, each area seems to have concensus,
but these are of course different to the next area.

So, ideas anyone?
