MARS - Water Signs Confirmed
NASA scientists are convinced that water once existed on the surface of
Mars based on new discoveries from both NASA rovers. Spirit has discovered
hematite, an iron mineral that is usually formed in water. It is abundant
at Opportunity's site, but not seen before on the other side of the planet.
Opportunity, meanwhile, has extended its evidence of water further back in
time, through possible past cycles of wet and dry climate. The rover's
missions have both entered new phases. Opportunity has descended more than
five metres into Endurance crater, while Spirit has begun its
reconnaissance at the base of Columbia hills. Scientists agree that where
there is water there is also life. Our photo interpretation of various
images indicate that plant life now exists on the planet. Other rover
images show symbols, letters, architectural remains and what appears to be
fossils of animals and intelligent life forms. Almost every rock shows
hundreds of holes indicating that small life forms are present that dig
into the rocks. Spirit's discovery of the first hematite seen at Gusev
crater came from a peculiar rock dubbed "pot of gold". The fist-sized rock
has strange round nodules that stick out on the end of stalks and also has
very distinct planar layering. Despite detailed inspection with the
microscopic imager, "we have not got this thing figured out yet," Squyres
admitted at a press conference at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, in
Pasadena, California on Friday. "I don't know how these things formed, and
it's driving me nuts!"

Shuttle Atlantis Captures Video of Disc UFO Update
On 7 October 2002, Shuttle Atlantis lifted off from Cape Canaveral at 2:46
PM CDT bound for a rendezvous and docking with the International Space
Station. This flight saw the onboard ISS Expedition 5 Crew hand over the
station to the fresh Expedition 6 Crew. Dr. Oren Swearingen, a skillful and
dedicated colleague, recorded the entire flight from his home. For three
months, it appeared that all had been normal during this mission. Neither
the Doctor, nor Jeff Chandler noticed anything out of the ordinary after
perusing all of our videotapes.
Dr. Swearingen was taking a second look, when his tape #12 revealed what
seemed to be a disk shaped object retreating slowly behind the cradle of
Atlantis' robot arm. The disk does not appear to be part of Atlantis, the
ISS, nor anything normally seen. What made the object so easy to miss is
the fact that it moves as slowly as the minute hand on a clock. In real
time, the event takes a full 95 seconds to unfold. The anomaly disappears
so slowly behind the arm cradle, that unless one is paying very careful
attention, it would most likely go unnoticed.
This object has what appears to be structure, including a bump on the
upperfacing surface resembling a cupola or dome. Shadowing on the object is
consistent with shadows on Atlantis, and her robotic arm. Lighting on the
anomalous object is in line with the Solar angle. It has none of the
appearance of ice particles, or escaped debris. It does not tumble and is
extremely stable throughout the entire time it is visible. This object made
its debut on flight day 4, at approximately MET (Mission Elapsed Time) 003
days 03 hours 41 minutes, Orbit 51. At this time, the Shuttle/Station
complex was sailing high over Nova Scotia at circa 5:00 PM (17:00) CDT. The
event took place on 10 October 2002. The STS-112 "Disk Sequence" is the
best, and is a most compelling, anomalous event. Hats off to Dr. Oren
Swearingen of the great state of Texas, for his diligence, and persistence.

Jeff Challender writes, "The above described event has been said to be an
"Elbow" on the Canadarm II . This arm is the ISS counterpart to the arm
aboard the Shuttle. It was said that the arm was returning to its cradle
after providing camera views of that day's space walk (EVA). We dispute
this claim. The time frame was well after the Astronauts were back safely
inside Atlantis. It's possible that Dr. Swearingen was mistaken about the
time in CDT. But his record of the MET is not. Let us assume that the time
of the event was 7:27 PM CDT. The airlock hatch closed at 6:22 PM CDT.
Therefore it seems unlikely that the arm was still in use this long after
the Astronauts were safely back inside. I have downloaded a NASA
photograph, FROM STS-112, of the robot arm in question. I have also added
to this photo the image of the disk shaped object in question. I challenge
anyone to match the object to ANY PART of the robot arm.

North Atlantic - Boomerang
350 NM EAST OF NORTHERN FLORIDA -- I was delivering a sailing yacht to Ft.
Lauderdale, FL from Boston, via Bermuda, standing the twelve to four deck
watch in October 1990. It was a beautiful night, very warm and clear at 1
AM, when the boomerang object flew directly over us as it's approach had
been hidden by the very large mainsail of the Schooner. The object was
huge, twice the size of Ursa Major, it glowed with a pale luminescent, gold
or yellow, with a pale blue triangle at leading edge or apex of the arch,
the sharp tips at the trailing edges, also, were blue. It was climbing and
following an easterly course. It was totally silent, and left a wake of
gold "glitter" behind. Soon it seemed to almost explode into several small
bright lights then recon dense into a very bright single light and
disappear into space.
I saw the exact same thing three years later in 1993, and once again it
seemed to be heading east to climb up over the Atlantic from the Southeast
U.S. The second craft came from the SW horizon and I could see it's
trajectory clearly and also it's very distinct shape and color. Both
sightings occurred in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle, 30N 70W. Many
mariners have seen these craft, but don't report them for fear of ridicule.
Whatever this vehicle is, whether extraterrestrial or government; it is
astonishingly huge, incredibly fast and absolutely silent. The fact that
I've seen it twice in a three year period makes me think that this is some
kind of routine late night departure to some other planet. I watched the
thing punch through the atmosphere twice with my own eyes. Cape Canaveral
is located to the west of that position, but I seriously doubt we have
anything this wild flying under the stars and stripes. I've always felt
that if a UFO wanted to hideout where better but under the sea. Noah's
flood has not yet receded: two thirds of the earth is still underwater. The
southern edge of the Bermuda Triangle is where the Puerto Rico Trench is,
the deepest water in the Atlantic hemisphere, 28,000 ft deep I believe.

Massachusetts - White Ovoid
NORWELL - The observer was watching a 747 aircraft at 6:35 PM, on June 20,
2004, when he glanced around he saw a white ovoid flying southeast about 30
degrees above the horizon. It was a round point of white about the size of
Venus. Viewed through my 8x30 binoculars the object appeared to be ovoid in
shape about twice as wide as it was high. I lost track of the object when I
went inside to get a higher power pair of binoculars. I have a B.S. in
natural resources, I live near a corridor for airliners flying North to
Logan Airport and am familiar with aircraft.

New York - Light
BUFFALO - The witness watched two objects fly from east to west much faster
than the speed of jet aircraft on June 18, 2004. at 11:55 PM. I noticed a
second object flying parallel with the first. I thought it odd that 2
satellites would fly in such proximity, when they moved farther apart, then
closer together, then farther apart, then made a 45 degree turn to the
south.

Pennsylvania - Concave Metallic Disc
PHILADELPHIA - Two friends both 18, were sitting outside on swinging seats
facing each other talking on June 18, 2004, at 6:31 PM, when one shouted,
"Look!" The friend turned to see a large flat disk that was silver bordered
by black with a concave center. The object was silent and emitted no light.
The object appeared to move effortlessly almost as if it was gliding on
ice. The object wobbled slightly than immediately vanished. The whole
incident only took place over the course of 25 seconds. We instantly went
on the web to find out information with regard to where we could submit or
file an incident report and found this site and here I am now. Several

RANSHAW -- A brightly lit sphere-shaped was seen traveling across the
horizon at a high-rate of speed on June 17, 2004, at 10:30 PM. The object
seemed to zigzag a bit, and appeared to be 'bouncing' here and there. The
bright light it emitted never wavered and stayed constant twice as bright
as a star. Two other craft were in the vicinity, one following it, while
another was coming in from a side direction, almost as if to 'flank' the
brightly lit UFO. The craft that was directly behind the UFO appeared to be
a standard domestic aircraft. This craft continued following the UFO over
the horizon. The 'flanking' craft was a bit more odd, only blinking a deep
red light every second or so. This craft flew in from the UFO's side,
getting somewhat close to it, but then changed course, and proceeded to fly
at a slow rate in the opposite direction of the UFO, right over my house.

Ohio - Pulsing Object and Flying Triangle
LANCASTER - At 3 AM, on the morning of June 23, 2004, my girlfriend and I
were heading up Route 33, three miles south of Lancaster. She was the first
one to notice the object, then myself. It was just a speckle of light in
the sky, starting off as a pinkish light then pulsing to red. The object
would have appeared like a normal aircraft, except that this one slowed
down to almost a stop then sped up again. We watched it for maybe 20-30
Seconds before it abruptly disappeared.

EUCLID -- I am an intermediate astronomer. It was partly cloudy, so I went
out to have a look at Jupiter (no telescope). On June 23, 2004. at 11:14
PM, I saw what I will call a circular white light, from arm's length about
the size of a pea, appear from behind a cloud about 34 degrees above the
horizon. It traveled in a straight line heading north for about 10 seconds
then it simply disappeared.

WILLOUGHBY HILLS -- On June 18, 2004, a veteran law enforcement officer
reports, "I was in the parking lot, and saw a jetliner cruising when I saw
an object flying much higher and at incredible speed. After just a second
or two, it got bigger and I realized it was getting closer. I saw an oddly
shaped object that had no wings or tail flying at probably 10,000 feet.

Later, my wife and I were talking on the deck outside 20 miles east of
Cleveland on Lake Erie and she told me she had seen a triangle shaped
object hovering over a wooded area at 5:45 PM. She was driving east on I-90
near SR 91 when she saw the HUGE flying triangle hovering "about 100 feet
above that tree." She said that the 'thing' made no sound and didn't even
bounce. She had to stop looking because she might wreck her car. She said
she saw it over a very thick wooded area and the object was a triangle with
no wings, no tail, was dark grey with no lights.

Michigan - Reddish-Orange Lights
NAPOLEON - The observer took one minute of videotape of this object on June
22, 2004, at 10:13 PM, that consisted of two reddish-orange lights, one of
which was pulsing slowly. Both lights maintained their position (one in
front of the other) as they moved east to west. If these were somehow
wingtip lights of a conventional craft, then this aircraft was flying
sideways! No sound at all.

Kentucky - White Cylinder
OWENSBORO -- On Saturday afternoon, June 19th, 2004 at about 6:40 PM, a
pilot for 20 years was walking his dog and looking for air traffic, but
there was none. This was a little surprising because there is a VOR
navigation beacon at our local airport where high altitude traffic makes a
turn as evidenced by the turning of the contrails. The Sun was about 20
degrees above the horizon and to my back. The observer states, `I looked
overhead and spotted a white cylindrical object headed southeast at a
moderate speed.' When first spotted it was about 1/2" long at arms' length
and was like an airplane fuselage with no wings. The white object was
flying horizontally with a dark band toward the rear and a possible
appendage on the rear. It did not reflect the setting sun. There was no
evidence of any type of conventional propulsion, nor were there FAA
navigation lights or strobes visible. It did not deviate in altitude,
speed, or heading as it went out of sight. Total sighting time was about
two minutes.

Tennessee - Tri-Lobed Silver Object
BLOUNTVILLE - MUFON's Kim Shaffer reports that a highly reliable and
credible witness was traveling north on Interstate 81, on June 18, 2004, at
5:30 PM, when the radio faded out. He noticed a silver object coming
parallel to 81 going north. It was traveling at around 75 mph, when it
passed him and came across the highway and out of sight before he could
stop. The witness states, "I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures
as I was driving and took several pictures. When I got home I down loaded
them and found one frame out of 9 that had silver orbed shaped objects that
were connected."

Illinois - Disk
ELK GROVE - The observer was driving to work and saw a disk floating back
and forth on June 18, 2004, at 11:30 AM. It was a saucer shaped object
floating back and forth in the sky, that had a silver or gray color. He
states, "I almost drove my car into the ditch before pulling over, and
grabbed my camera and took a picture of the disk." You can tell the shape
from the photo, its twelve hours later and I still have goose bumps."

Missouri - Disk
KANSAS CITY - A public employee was driving home from work early in the
morning, when a silver object hovering and turning in a circular motion
caught his attention at 7:15 PM, on June 19, 2004. He states, `As I drove
closer I could see clearly it was saucer in shape, silver in color. It was
about two hundred yards to the northwest and only 200 feet in altitude. I
saw it for about two minutes, and than it just completely vanished with no
trace!"

Louisiana - Metallic Sphere
MANY -- Driving down Highway 171, North, a father and son saw an object
that was very bright, at 5:20 PM, on June 18, 2004. It had a "tail" of
smoke or steam, but not like a jet. It followed it like it was attached.
The sphere appeared to be on fire and when the sun hit it, it was VERY
bright, like metal. We watched it for several miles and then it disappeared
behind the clouds traveling downward.

Texas - White-Green Disc
KINGWOOD - A white-green light hovering above the horizon was observed far
away at 3:23 PM, on June 19, 2004. The object had a disc shape and moved
slowly and then hovered, and finally in a burst of speed flew north. Two
friend observed the disc. The witness stated, "I have never seen any flying
object accelerate so perfectly and effortlessly." No sound was heard. "This
object was definitely not civilian/military."

Arizona - Lights
PHOENIX -- Since April, my wife and I have seen white lights or orbs in the
night sky. Appearing, hovering, moving and disappearing as if lighting up
and fizzing out. All of this is on video. They show up right before your
eyes coming from all directions. These lights show up at any time. I have
video from 9 PM to 5 AM on almost any given night because our new puppy
wakes me up each night. I take videos of brightly lit objects traveling
across the sky. Another object looking exactly like the other one crossed
its path. I started video taping and caught a triangular formation, but as
they pass by the stars you can see through where you would expect to see a
solid piece of the triangular shaped object. So that tells me they are not
connected, but just in formation. A week later, I saw a white shaped object
slowly moving east and took some photos. The object hovered and drifted
southeast. Four hours later, we spotted two similar objects; one wobbled
while the other was stationary. One was a bluish and the other one was
reddish. Then a third white object came cruising below the other two
heading east. It had several egg-shaped objects tied together and it was
tumbling in all directions. Today June 27th, 2004, at 1:40 PM, another UFO
flew over my house, so I grabbed the video camera and caught it on film. It
was spinning and tumbling in all directions and the video reflects that. It
was flying straight east and you can see that the object was moving up and
down and side to side or just about any direction.

BUCKEYE/GILA BEND -- While driving home with my wife on June 14, 2004, at
8:30 PM, we first saw 7 bright and rather large orange/red balls of light
south of the Estrealla Mountains in the vicinity of Buckeye or Gila Bend.
The objects were rather low in the sky, did not appear to be moving and
slowly faded out. At one point it seemed as though there were more than 7
of them in a tight formation. Other people had pulled over to see them too.
The lights seemed to be in the approach of Sky Harbor but none of the
incoming aircraft seemed affected.

California - UFO Picture
MODESTO -- R. David Anderson reports, "I took this picture on June 23,
2004, about 9:45 PM, using the slowest shutter speed (night setting) on my
Nikon 4300 digital camera. I saw an object moving north and took this
strange photo that has good resolution showing lots of details. The night
before this flashes lit up the entire sky. The UFO is the large object in
the photo that looks like two drums connected by some sort of arm. It is a
time exposure between 9:30 and 10 PM. It was difficult to find it high in
the sky in the camera's viewfinder, so I snapped four shots in the general
direction and only one frame captured the UFO. Also, notice that a star is
in the left side of the image in order to indicate some perspective of the
shot.

Oregon - Orbs
GERBER RESERVOIR -- At 11 PM on June 16, 2004, two friends were sitting
around a campfire and saw two pumpkin like orange orbs skimming about 5 mph
over the trees. The orbs were parallel to one another. Suddenly one flew in
a eastern direction while the other hovered. Moments later the other orb
came back and they were sitting side by side. Then they started moving
towards us and changed to red and flew directly over our campfire, rotated
and became at least four times the size of my van. It changed to a large
rectangle shape that had portholes with green, yellow, blue and red lights.
And that was just the beginning of the show! Two hours later we were still
watching lights through the trees.

Washington -- UFO Filmed
MONTESANO - The observer noticed objects flying across the sky and ran
inside to grab his camera on June 18, 2004. A video was taken at 5:04 PM,
for 26 seconds of a cigar shaped white object with a Fuji 5000 Digital
Camera. There may have been two white objects heading south.

BREMERTON - Also, on June 18, 2004, a worker was on his way home on the
boat playing his guitar and another guy interrupted him and pointed out Air
Force #1 flying over. He states, "The president had visited Ft. Lewis and
over Bremerton; so I saluted". An hour later, I saw a silver disk crossing
over Bremerton at about 100 miles per hour. It was clear and visible and it
flew over the water out to Port Orchard and kept going. I pointed it out to
a guy just to see his reaction and he said, "Oh it's something the Navy
Yard is doing for Surveillance," I know he's wrong."

Washington - Flying Triangle
SEATTLE (UNIVERSITY DISTRICT) - The observer saw a peculiar, lighted
triangular craft streak over at 11:15 PM, on June 20, 2004. Peter Davenport
spoke to the witness who claimed he had a dramatic sighting of a very
anomalous looking object. It immediately captured his attention, not only
because of its bizarre appearance, but because the object traversed an arc
of 90 degrees of the night sky in two seconds. The flying triangle did not
have the normal red and green navigation lights, required on conventional
aircraft. The "edges" of the triangle appeared to be "dark," and the center
portion appeared to be "empty," or more lightly colored than the periphery.
The object was three-quarters the size of the Moon.

Canada - Red Lights and Cylinder
WINDSOR - A pharmacy tech was star-gazing at 12:15 AM, on June 20, 2004,
when four translucent balls of red light dashed across the sky from the
south, stopped, then made right angled turns to the east. One witness
states, "We were starring in the section of the sky where the Northern
Cross lies when all of a sudden four balls of red light dashed across the
sky in front of us. I saw four lights, my boyfriend saw three -- the fourth
was somewhat behind the others and farther up in the sky. The objects were
spread across the sky, dashed in front of us, and then slowed down to a
stop before they darted off. I started laughing when they came to a stop
because all I could think of was "Oh my God, they are flying in "military
V" formation!!"

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- The witness was on the roof top garden of his condo on
June 27, 2004, at 11:15 PM, looking for shooting stars when he caught a
glimpse of a black/grey object in the night sky. It was difficult to see
because it had no lights and there was no sound. It was heading south and
looked like two airplane wings together without the body.

VANCOUVER, B. C. - The witness was driving towards Vancouver Airport around
7:45 PM, on June 22, 2004, when he noticed a slow moving white
cigarette-shaped object in the sky. He was on his cell phone talking to a
friend and told him he was looking at a UFO. It floated around for about a
minute, before it took off towards the west and then disappeared. He
states, `I'm positive that this was NOT an airplane, an airplane made a lot
of noise while the UFO was silent. This is the first time I've been 100%
sure of what I saw. I get Goosebumps every time I tell people what I saw.'

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO -- On June 26, 2004, at 10:50 PM, two objects were
sighted that appeared to be burning up in the atmosphere that were most
likely meteors. Another object was sighted traveling south which was
orange/pinkish in color with contrails behind. A second smaller one
appeared almost simultaneously as the first object disappeared and third
object appeared as the second disappears. All have contrails.

Ireland -'UFO' Is Spotted
BELFAST -- Paul Dykes reports, "Two men working high up a radio mast in
County Monaghan believe they have spied a top-secret inter-planetary craft
flying over on June 26, 2004. Miles Johnston, of the Irish UFO Research
Centre, and Dublin-based rigger Terry Malone claim the delta-winged craft
traversed the sky at ultrasonic speed, taking just a few seconds to reach
the horizon. "I am convinced it was a man-made advanced space craft - we
had a good long look at it in a clear blue sky," Mr Johnston said. Mr
Malone confirmed the object was "absolutely enormous". "It was huge, high,
and traveling at some speed," he said. "I've seen B52s going over and you
can hear them buzzing, but there was not a sound from this thing. And it
was gone in an instant."

England - Mysterious Airborne Ring
NORTH YORKSHIRE -- On June 1, 2004, a group of office workers while on
lunch hour witnessed a strange giant airborne smoke ring above their office
200 miles north of London. The ring exhibited no sound, produced no
magnetic effects, and moved very slowly towards the west for about 20
minutes. The ring was black/dark grey in color and deformed. The sky was
cloudy with a low cloud ceiling and light drizzle.
Investigator William Puckett reports, "I interviewed two of the witnesses
several times via email and this sighting closely parallels other airborne
ring shapes that have been sighted." In 1965, a UFO was photographed prior
to the appearance of the ring in the Heflin photos. In a Salt Lake City -
March, 2001 case, a bright flash was seen prior to the appearance of the
smoke ring. The rings have all been of a dark smoky appearance that
suggests a combustion process in the air. In the case of the North
Yorkshire sighting the witnesses clearly stated that no industry was
located in the vicinity of the smoke ring. Where else could it have come
from? The witnesses did not see a UFO or any flashes. A few regular
aircraft were in the area at the time. Conventional aircraft don't leave
rings of smoke. The fact that the ring maintained its shape for 20 minutes
is also mysterious. Normally smoke and dust particles will disperse in the
atmosphere rather than drift without mixing with the surrounding air.

Portugal - Fires Missile At UFO
The Portuguese military fired a ground-to-air missile at the luminous UFO
that passed over their country during the early morning hours of Monday,
June 7, 2004. Portuguese ufologist Gregorio Sao Xavier reported that "the
cigar-shaped UFO was tracked on radar. It moved in a south-to-north
direction. It was reported in the Portuguese newspapers that 'a target on
radar' was found at three separate military bases." These included "Beja,
south of Evora and north of the Algarve region; Montijo, near Lisboa; and
Oporto, the second largest city in Portugal. The news was released by a
colonel in the Portuguese Army." "That same day, only one report came from
a civilian identifying the trajectory of the unknown object as coming from
north to south, and a cigar form was described."
"Some days later, it was reported on Spanish and German TV that an official
of the Portuguese Army confirmed that a missile had been launched. What
most people saw " was trailing smoke from the missile launched at the UFO.
"Visual contact with the object was made at the base in Beja," Gregorio
added, "A week later, the photo of a cigar-shaped object appeared in a
popular (Portuguese) magazine. And a few days later, the military officials
charged with the investigation of the incident closed the case, calling it
an 'unknown object.'"
One of the most curious aspects of this case was the multiple sightings of
a radar-domed AWACS plane, provided by NATO, which was seen flying
offshore, just west of Cabo de Sines, 120 kilometers south of Lisboa.

Australia - Bright Red Sphere
GUMERACHA - A few minutes before midnight, while driving in rain down a
long hill, the witness noticed an extremely bright red light with an aura
or haze which was emphasized by the rain on June 20, 2004. The light was in
the southern sky either hovering or coming directly at him. Behind the
light were the much dimmer lights of a township which helped to show the
brightness of the light. The sphere remained in the same location for the
two minute decent down the hill, where the driver performed a u-turn and
drove to the top of the hill again. By then there was no trace or sounds

SOUTH ISLAND - A radio station reports numerous reports of a bright light
streaking across the sky around 9.30 on Saturday night. [June 26]. Port FM
announcer James Valentine says he has taken dozens of calls describing the
dramatic end of a meteor strike in the Mackenzie Country. He says it
exploded before it hit the ground, and flames and debris were seen in the
sky. James Valentine says a consensus is building around the idea the

Saturn's Mystery Moon Shows Exposed Water Ice
Cassini imaging data obtained during the spacecraft's close flyby of the
Saturnian moon Phoebe on June 11, 2004, indicates there are probably large
areas of exposed water ice. Phoebe has puzzled astronomers for more than a
century because of its dark surface and retrograde orbit. Despite Phoebe's
bumpy, irregular topography, the moon has a fairly round shape. The Cassini
spacecraft flew within 1,250 miles of the 133-mile-diameter Phoebe and
mission scientists are now concluding that Phoebe is likely a primordial
mixture of ice, rock and carbon-containing compounds similar to material
seen on Pluto and Neptune's moon Triton.

Water ice is a telltale sign that Phoebe originated somewhere in the solar
system beyond the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter; and was formed
somewhere in the outer solar system. A deep carbonaceous and rock-rich
surface plus carbon dioxide and a simple hydrocarbon have been detected on
Phoebe. Cassini launched in 1997, will go into orbit around Saturn, on June
30 (today) at 10:30 p.m. EDT and spend four years searching for life. What
might be some type of space ships have been seen by astronomers in the
rings of Saturn.
