UFO Sighted over Randburg, South Africa
Randburg, South Africa-Friday, 19 September 2008
On the 24th August 2008, at 14:37 (+2 h GMT) local time, I was looking up from
my computer monitor through a large southerly window in my study when I became
aware of an airborne object that did not conform to any known conventional
aerodynamic shape. Location, Randburg, a Northern suburb of Johannesburg in
South Africa.
The craft became visible and appeared from a westerly direction through the
bare branches of trees (Spring foliage being still some weeks away), at the
right perimeter of the window and proceeded in an easterly direction. It then
moved through a large unobstructed viewing segment of the window until it
disappeared in the East, gradually obscured by other trees at the left-hand
perimeter of the window.
It is important to note that the window consists of high quality glass with no
noticeable optical distortion, that the glass was perfectly clean and clear,
and that the luminosity contrast between external ambient light and internal
light conditions was not conducive to any internal reflection.
The craft was visibly well defined, had a perfectly oval shape with a
dimensional ratio of around 3:1 - its longer horizontal, major axis about
three times its height. The meteorological conditions were: clear sky, no
cloud with infinite visibility (30 km+), bright sun, and temperature at 22 C
and humidity at 40%. Colour of the craft was in various tints of white,
ranging from a brilliant white on its upper surface, transitioning very
smoothly down through its largest equatorial diameter to a less luminous,
creamy white on its lower surfaces.
Judging from its specific reflective albedo and this in combination with
slight optical speckling caused by atmospheric refractive effects, the latter
compared to atmospheric conditions as judged from their reference effects on
surrounding terrain, I judged its minimum distance to have been eight km. The
craft had no externally protruding structures detectable and no contrasting
internal lights or other detectable surface features.
The craft spanned an apparent angular size of one degree (see diagram) and
covered an angular distance of fifty degrees from West to East in about 8
seconds. With some trigonometry this implies that at the apparent distance its
major (horizontal axis) size was about 159m (about 2 1/4 times as long as a
Boeing 747) and was traveling at around 968m/s, i.e. 3484 km/h or about Mach
2,86. No sonic boom or other acoustic effects which would be expected at such
velocity and distance were detectable which would appear to indicate the
craft's translational and inertial reference medium being uncoupled from the
terrestrial - this leading to conjecture about its propulsion system being
certainly unconventional and perhaps in the class of anti gravitational
technology.
The craft's translational progress was utterly smooth, showed no variation in
velocity, had no deviation from a smooth trajectory, and if anything its path
could be suspected of following a very slight descending curvature as result
of gradual change in altitude which ranged from an initially judged 10-12
degrees of arc above the horizon to a final 8-10 degrees ATH.
As an interesting exercise, from the apparent dimensions of the object
compared to a Boeing 747, I estimate that roughly around 84 of the 747's
fuselages would fit in the object's body volumetrically. Taking the maximum
takeoff weight of a 747 as 330 metric tons and speculating a possibly similar
mass-to-volume ratio for the object would project its mass to be in the region
of 28000 tons - about that of a medium-sized passenger ship.
Although such a mass-comparison may not be justified due to very different
materials and construction, it does put some perspective on how a body this
size is maintained in what appears to us as an "aerodynamic" path. It then
becomes rather clear that anthropocentrically allocated factors such as
technically conventional aerodynamic lift and drag have little or nothing to
do with its progress through the terrestrial atmospheric medium.
Although this unidentifiable aerial object was not spectacular perhaps, as I
have certainly seen more spectacular and impressive UFOs, (see UFO Casebook
Newsletter #53) this is the third sighting of such phenomena I have witnessed
in about fifteen years.

Middletown, Rhode Island Witness Describes UFO As A Pyramid
Date: Late 1970's (1978)
Time: 1:00 a.m.
Location of Sighting: West main road.

Shape of objects: Pyramid.
Full Description of event/sighting: At the time of the sighting I was working
overtime 2nd. shift. I started driving home about 1:00a.m. on a 4 lane 35mph
posted highway. In the late 1970's this road would be empty at that time. I
was alone on the highway when I saw a pyramid shaped object (I say pyramid
because there was only three vertical lights, one on top and 2 on the bottom).
The object was flying in a vertical orientation, not on a horizontal plane. It
came over the trees on my left. When I saw it, I stopped my car because it was
such a strange thing to see. The object flew over very slowly and silently in
front and above my car and stopped. I'll guess maybe at 300 to 500 feet in the
air. The object only stopped for a few seconds (as if checking me out) and
then continued to move to my right over the trees on the other side of the
highway.
I decided to follow it, the nearest road to my right was a very narrow,
farmers dirt road. I got about half way down while watching the object, then I
got scared because I wouldn't be able to get out of there in a hurry if I had
to. So I turned the car around by backing up and going forward a number of
times to get my car facing the right direction. Why I didn't just back the car
out I don't know. The lights were different colors, the colors of which I
don't now remember. I can't determine the size. It wasn't tiny, nor was it
huge. If I had to guess, I would say from the bottom to the top of the
pyramid, maybe 50 feet tall. It could of been 12 feet tall for all I know, but
not over 50. Also, no structure was seen in between the 3 lights. I did tell a
co worker who was a private pilot the next day of my sighting and described
the 3 colors of the lights and he replied airplanes don't have those colors.
One last thing, the 3 lights were solidly lit. There was no strobing or
flashing or spinning.

Hessle/Hull East Yorkshire UK Eight To Ten Red Lights
Date: August 23, 2008

Weather Conditions: Clear.
Description: I was locking up my back patio door at approx 11:59pm 23rd August
2008. I noticed out of the window a red light moving from a South Westerly to
North Easterly direction in the sky. At first glance I took it to be a
passenger jet and almost dismissed it but something about it didn't ring true.
I unlocked the door to have a better look and went into my back garden.
Facing North I could see 2 lines of Red lights, all looking exactly the same.
The lines were nearly vertical and parallel to each other. I would estimate
there was between 8-10 lights in total. They all moved at a constant speed and
were pretty much equally spaced. The speed of them and there height appeared
to be similar to the passenger jets we get over from time to time.
I immediately thought "Oh my God I need to get my camera" and started back
into the house to get it, I lost sight of the lights at this point. I then
realized I did not know exactly where it was so decided to double back and
carry on watching the lights.
When they came back into view they were now in the formation of a "V" and
continued in the same direction as before, also at the same speed. They
carried on like this for about 10 seconds and then they disappeared one by one
until a single one was left. The single one carried on by itself for about a
further 10-15 seconds before it too disappeared.
UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look
at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and
received the following reply:
Thanks for the response, below is the full text as I sent originally. From the
video on the link you gave they look very similar although the ones I saw were
bright red. I would have to say that they were more than likely these balloons
but I cannot say for sure.

Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England UK Formations Of Red/Orange Lights
Date: August 24, 2008
Time: 11:00 p.m. for about 30 to 40 mins.

Weather Conditions: Clear at the time of sighting.
Description: Huge formations of red/orange lights seen over the south of
Milton Keynes. At first we thought I was a bright plane but then more came
into view. This must have shown up on Luton and Cranfireld airports radars and
I'm sure many people flying in and out of both airports would have had a very
good view of the objects. Flying in formations of about 6 or 7 or more at a
time the objects just kept on coming! No noise to report but this may be
because of the distance we were away from the objects. They seem to come up
from ground level fly east across the sky and the head off to the south east.

Coming From Enfield Towards Cheshunt UK 25 To 30 Objects

Time: 00.15 a.m. - 00.30 a.m.
Number of witnesses: 4 people, plus 3-4 other vehicles had stopped to observe
the sky.
Number of objects: 25-30.
Shape of objects: Flying disks.
Weather Conditions: Perfect clear night sky, no clouds whatsoever
Description: We were returning home from a journey, when we came off junction
25, of the M25, heading towards Cheshunt. At first, we noticed one car stopped
at the round-about, with the passengers outside looking and pointing to the
skies. We passed them, and looked up at the sky also to see what was
occurring, and hence noticed four extremely bright orbs, floating overhead. We
pulled over, along with two other cars, and stepped outside. From there we
saw numerous bright lit objects, appearing from the horizon of Enfield, which
is in the south, southwest direction. They were moving towards us, northeast,
in the direction of Stanstead airport.
These objects did not emit any sounds, or smoke/carbon traces in the sky. They
were moving calmly, in a formation of four or five at a time, and at times
getting closer to each other, but in general flying in the same direction.
They were flying much higher than a helicopter flies, and lower than a
passenger aircraft, and were very clear, with a luminosity that seemed almost
electric

Southeast, Manitoba Flaming Object Falls Out Of The Sky And The Military
Date: November 2 or 3rd, 2006
Time: Approx: 6:00 a.m.
Location of Sighting: SE Manitoba.
Number of witnesses: Numerous.
Number of objects: 5
Shape of objects: Unknown.
Full Description of event/sighting: These are the facts - eye witnesses are
available to verify all of them. These events took place on Nov 2nd or 3rd,
2006.
Reported on Winnipeg radio station (s) in the early am, people phoning in with
reports from the Steinbach area of flaming objects passing overhead and
falling out of the sky. No reports of any kind on Steinbach Radio. Military
dispatched to the Steinbach area, jets seen flying low overhead around
Steinbach area (reported only on Winnipeg Radio). From Winnipeg 5 or 6 nearly
parallel contrails can be seen in the sky, going Northwest to Southeast
(toward Steinbach) another contrail in the Southeast in the shape of a spiral
going down. The Contrails may or may not be related.
Radio reports in Winnipeg end around 9:00AM, no more said until the afternoon
when Steinbach stations begin reporting that rumors of UFO's turns out to be
men in white suits performing Avian Flu practice at a farm near Steinbach.
Nothing is mentioned about flaming items flying overhead, military
investigations or about anything else suspicious currently happening Southwest
of Steinbach.
That morning around 1030 a group of residents, unaware of the reports of
flaming debris reported only on Winnipeg radio stations are surprised when 5
Black Suburban's (MIB) and 2 Black, 1 white, 3-ton panel vans with satellite
dishes and a hearse in convoy with a police escort show up in a farming area
Southwest of Steinbach.
Residents are quarantined to their homes. They are told to stay inside, lock
all doors, close curtains and keep dogs and children inside. Residents with
children in school are told if the all clear is not given when the children
come home from school they are to unlock their doors, one of them is to meet
the bus at the road and walk their children directly into the house then
relock the doors.
Some Residents are told a search is on for BNE suspects for a local robbery -
there had been a BNE a few miles away on the weekend. The guys were already
caught when this happened. Some are told there is drug bust in progress - even
had one guy tell a friend they were looking for a downed spacecraft - would
really like to know why he said that.
Area is somewhat remote - only 5 farmyards in one square mile. That same day
around 6:00 PM, residents are given the all clear and again given differing
stories, but generally told that the MIB have caught the bad guys. Residents
expect to hear more on the news but never hear another word about "the bust".
MIB remain in the area until the weekend, when residents observe a fire in the
area where the MIB are set up and the MIB leave somewhere around this time.
Original Steinbach radio reports state Avian Flu operators working at a farm 3
miles southwest, (same area Men in Black currently working) then changes to
near Landmark Northwest of Steinbach.
Evening TV stations reports avian flu preparedness measures (training) 3 miles
S of Landmark - about 20 miles north of morning reports and SUVs' and
quarantine.
Reports of flaming debris or military investigations in the Steinbach area
never are discussed on the news again. Stories of the MIB performing a drug
bust/ arrest, never make it to the news at all.
I was out of town - got back 3rd in evening to catch TV reports of avian flu
but didn't think anything of it. I didn't hear the rest of the story till the
8th.
One week later a fire is reported in the vicinity. Two weeks later it snows
and all trace is gone. Unfortunately it was only at this time that I found the
exact location of these events or I would have gone snooping.
Speculation
For WPG radio stations to report an event, one of two things has to happen.
Enough people have to call in or they have to have credible witnesses or
reporters. If this had happened really early in the am, no one or very few
people would have seen anything. If it had happened a little later in the am,
way too many people would have seen it and it couldn't have been covered up so
easily.
So, I think the US lost a secret aircraft (that probably shouldn't have been
in Canadian airspace) and then came up from Grand Forks to investigate and
recover.

Sept 17? (following info logged into Transport Canada's incident reporting
system - CADORS - Canadian Aviation Daily Occurrence Reports)
Commercial a/c flying over Canada (not sure where) reports overtake and
interception by unidentified a/c which remains in site for approx: 5 minutes
and then climbs and disappears in aurora borealis. No traffic reported by ATC.
Commercial a/c over the Arctic reports air launched missile by unseen a/c. No
traffic reported by ATC.

Madawaska, Algonquin Provincial Park Ontario Large Sphere 40 Feet Away

Location of Sighting: Madawaska, Algonquin Provincial Park.

Shape of objects: Large Sphere, Red with pulses of orange and green.
Full Description of event/sighting: My boyfriend and I were in Madawaska for
the World Electronic Music Festival. There were several thousand people
attending this event. I am speaking of my personal account witnessing this
object, however there were many other people who witnessed the event. There is
a link to Youtube with a video of the event at the end of my personal account.
My boyfriend and I were returning from dropping a friend off at his hotel
about 45 minutes down route 60. We were about 2 minutes from the turnoff to go
through security check and back into the group camping area. It was just above
the trees crossing the highway. Moving from the left to the right side of the
highway. It was about 15 feet away from us, moving towards the area where the
festival was. We then turned down the dirt path which lead to the security
check area. As we approached the security to have the car searched we could
see it coming over the trees towards the event. We pointed it out to the girl
who searched our car and she mentioned that it had been seen several times the
first night and that night as well. Apparently the police had seen it too and
the girl who was performing the search was frighten of the object.
It passed over the car about 40 to 50 feet in the air above us. It was a very
large glowing red sphere which pulsed orange and green and had a quality of
light was very unusual and reminded me of a mirage. By that I mean that it
seemed to be extremely hot. It was so close and so clear there is absolutely
nothing that could explain it away as something mundane. It was clearly a
sphere. Some people wait there whole lives to see something like this-
Phenomenal. If you should care to see it visit this link. Be patient with the

Bo'ness, West Lothian Scotland Five Bright Orange Lights

Time: Around 22:00 - 22:30
Tonight my mum, brother and I saw a bright orange light in the sky
There were five of them. They came 4-5 minutes within each other. The first
one we thought was maybe a hot air balloon or a plane. But it looked kind of
like a fire. But we just dismissed it as "weird". Then a few moments later,
two more appeared from the same place. They were closer however and all seemed
to head towards the river forth. You could see that there was definitely a
fire there. Moments after that there was another two, these were even closer
that the last ones and seemed to resemble a thin shape. There was no noise
what-so-ever. This was at ten 'o'clock at night

Barnstaple North Devon England UK 3 Pronged Black Retractable Triangular
Device

Time: 2:45 a.m.
I've told you before that we've seen phenomenon in our room late at night
before, however, we haven't seen anything for a while now, until the very
early hours of the morning.
Every night I always leave our landing light on, with our bedroom door ajar so
as to let some light into our room until my husband comes to bed. Then he
switches it off before getting into bed.
I was in bed, having been asleep, my husband was still up, he was down stairs.
I had woke up and went to move over onto my left side and as I did so, I found
myself staring up into an object that I can only describe as some kind of (3)
pronged, black, retractable triangular formation, telescopic type device (it
did not appear as though it had come through the ceiling, it was just there,
hanging in mid-air. As I gasped in shock, it retracted "immediately" as though
it was a living, responding thing, to my emotion and sudden movements. As it
retracted in on itself, it turned from being a 3 pronged (for want of a better
description ! - sorry) retractable telescopic type instrument, to simply (3)
circular dots of dull/dim white lights that then moved off/out at an angle and
away, literally vanishing in the area of our bedroom window up and out,
through the ceiling above the bedroom window. I was able to track it's motion
(I was by then sat bolt up-right !). I looked at the time on our digital clock
radio on the dressing table below our bed, it said 2.45am.
I was so shocked I had switched on our bedside light to get even more light.
Then got out of bed, went to the bathroom to get a "reality" check, splashed
myself with water, yelled down to my husband and asked if he was ok (which he
answered, yes he was ok would be up in minute) then I got back into bed, left
the bedside light on as well !.
I didn't mention anything to my husband as it would have freaked him out too
(it was bad enough when we both saw something possibly scanning our room last
year !) except, my husband's always been very skeptical/very scientific minded
until he started seeing things too, sometimes when I hadn't seen or felt
anything.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan A Saucer Shaped UFO Inverted 90 Degrees

Location of Sighting: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan my back yard.

Shape of objects: Saucer shape inverted 90 degrees.
Full Description of event/sighting: Object was like a saucer, but didn't fly
like they show in movies. It appeared to be flying and turned 90 degrees. It
was sighted just below the lowest right hand star of the big dipper. It
dropped down about half way of the horizon and proceeded to come towards the
back yard at very rapid speed. It had lights at the outermost points, moving
toward the centre of the object and then clusters of lights in the centre.
The lights were the same color as the star light.

Moncton, New Brunswick UFOs That Lit Up Peoples Roofs
Date: September 16, 2008
Time: 12:00 (Midnight)
Location of Sighting: Sky.
Number of witnesses: 4

Shape of objects: Large square.
Full Description of event/sighting: The objects normally appear higher in the
sky than they appeared last evening, they were low in their flight path at
first and silent. There were extremely large red lights on each one of them
and I could see the bodies of each craft against the night sky as they flew
overhead. They were definitely not aircraft as I am near the airport and see
all craft that usually fly here. I was actually scared during the whole
incident that lasted about 10 minutes. Like I said they were low at first and
then gained altitude and stayed at one spot in the sky and the red lights we
saw were deep, deep red and gave off an enormous glare, enough to illuminate
rooftops around them. We stood and watched as they went from flight to
stationary in the sky. You must look into this area because I have seen at
last count about 60 things I cannot explain and there are always witnesses and
I have some video and photo's of this.
