As promised in the News No. 132 I have finished reading the book entitled
"Project UFO" and here is my review of that book.

BOOK REVIEW
This is my Review of W.A. Harbinson's book entitled, "Projekt UFO" The Case
For Man-Mad Flying Saucers.
It was only released in 2007.
Most people around the world assume that Flying Saucers/UFO's etc are advanced
Space Craft from an exterritorial source from "some where" in a far off
Galaxy. In this book W.A. Harbinson has put forward his theory that this is
not true.
He has set out to prove that they are Man-Made here on planet Earth.
That they are a continuing process of the 'Super Powers', European, Soviet,
Canadian and American scientists secretly designed and manufactured Flying
Saucers.
Now that takes some proving and is far away from the established E.T.
For years we have read many other books that tell tales of, Aliens from other
worlds, abductions, little Green or Grey people, advanced technology,
Telepathy. Even convincing quotes from the bible and pictures of what looks
like Spacemen drawn on cave walls and carved in ancient stone. That is a lot
of evidence one would argue in favor of E.T.
Harbinson has thought of all this and has taken it in his stride. As I started
to read his book I too thought "no this can't be true, what about this and
what about that" but as I read further into the chapter I saw his explanations
unfold. His reasoning became clear and made sense .In so doing I changed my
thought process. Harbinson has tried to stay with Facts rather than Hearsay
and not just copy some other author's fanciful stories. He has previously
written five other books in the epic 'Projekt Saucer' series of novels. These
were, Inception, Phoenix, Genesis, Millennium and Resurrection. Although they
were previously Novels during his research for those books he collected a mass
of Factual evidence and decided to write this book as 'Non-Fiction'. I found
it a fascinating account of the history of the whole flying Saucer saga.
Harbinson has written the book in 13 Chapters (13 is that an Omen?) each
deal's with a particular aspect of the UFO history of sightings through the
ages. It covers a multitude of topics including, World War II sightings,
analysis of biblical references, spinning discs, Cigar shaped objects,
Triangular craft, various coloured spheres, Ufo landings, UFOnauts,
abductions, and many more. He has tried to cover the history and development
of the Flying saucer phenomenon using known military records and their
attempts to manufacture flying saucers. He has had to speculate in some
instances, that the evolution of the UFO has been due to various governments,
black or covert operations. The military of the Super Powers has always
covered up their latest and current development of 'war planes' etc.
Harbinson shows in his examples that this is also the same with passed and
current development of flying saucers. He spends a lot of time informing use
of the then secret Nazi development of advanced technology in rocketry and
engine development in their underground bases at Peenemunde, on the island of
Usedom, off the Baltic Coast, Turingia and the Harz mountains just to mention
a few of the many sites where experiments were carried out and developed. He
gives details about many other sights that the Nazis had and what they
developed there.
During the Second World War great strides were made in technology as
governments poured Millions of Dollars etc into the war effort. We quickly
went from the Wood and Paper aircraft to the Rocket engine in just a few
years. Look at America now. We have the F-117a Nighthawk, the
triangular-shaped B-2 Spirit bomber. It is rumored that America has the
legendary Aurora up its sleeve as a successor to the B-2.
Harbinson says what else do the Super Powers have behind closed doors in their
secret underground bases. He does not provide us with much detail about Soviet
progress in technology, as there is still an 'Iron curtain' in that part of
the world about secret development projects.
He gives the known facts on some of the Tons of technical material that the
Soviets took from the Nazis in World War II and says that, as the Americans
developed so must he Soviets have developed. They may be even further
developed (as they do not have all those Congress Senetors to contend with).
Harbinson therefore concentrates his main attention on the USA. Where after
the Freedom of information Act came into being documents were then available
to Ufologists and all. This gave the author-documented facts on which to base
most of his evidence.
America has the most UFO sightings that take place over known military bases
i.e. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the top- secret guided missile
research bases located in the White Sands Proving Ground, not to mention the
infamous Area 51.
Isn't it natural that if the USA is developing new advanced circular type
aircraft then they will be seen mainly in those areas?
Finally W.A. Harbinson rounds of his book with a 'Afterward' at end of his
book entitled, "The here and now..." This is a summery of the books contents
and the brief history of the UFO phenomenon. Followed by a list of Sources and
a detailed index.
My final summary is that, it is a priceless box of knowledge for those
interested in UFO's. It gives a more down to earth explanation of UFO's. You
should read it and have it on your bookshelf for future reference. I enjoyed
reading it and could not put it down. My wife went to bed alone every night
during the period I was reading till late at night.
