                   CVTSTLOG.DOC v1.02 (c)1999 2E1FXN
                   =================================

This program came about because TSTHOST generates a Logfile that gets
bigger as time passes, its not long before a 200kb Logfile is created
I decided to write a little routine to automatically save the LOGFILE
to a SUB-DIRECTORY called LOGS in the Main TSTHOST directory.

Converted Logfile : 19990707.LOG

 CallSign      Date     Start    End
-------------------------------------
- GB7SYP   : 16/07/1999 10:11 > 10:12
- SWITCH   : 16/07/1999 10:16 > 10:43

The new filename is automatically created, from YEAR, MONTH, and LOG no.
YYYYMMLL.LOG LL which is derived from the CVTSTLOG.CFG File
Counting the List of Days - in the above example 07 was Saved on the 19th
Day of the Month.

INSTALLATION
============

1) If you have CVTSTLOG v1.00 please Delete both the EXE & CFG files

2) Extract CVTSTLOG.EXE to your Main TSTHOST Directory.

3) At the DOS Prompt Type CVTSTLOG, you will be informed the following

        ** CVTSTLOG.CFG - using Default Settings **
        Config file Saved

4) Edit the CVTSTLOG.CFG to your own preferences
   - Leave KILL=NO until you are sure the CFG settings are correct.
   - Change EVERY 7 to ALL - for TESTING

5) Run CVTSTLOG - you will have a new logfile YYYYMMLL.LOG in your
                  selected Save Directory.
    YYYY = 1999 - YEAR
    MM   = 07   - MONTH
    LL   = 07   - LOG NUMBER

    A message on screen should state that
    "..\TSTHOST.LOG Converted To ..\YYYYMMLL.LOG

6) Run CVTSTLOG again should produce
        ** Process Cancelled - File Previously Converted **

7) Select Days to Convert & Save the Log
        ALL     = Every Day
        EVERY n = 1 to 7 or 10

if n=2  - 02,04,06,08,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,30
if n=3  - 01,04,07,10,13,16,19,22,25,28
if n=4  - 01,05,09,13,17,21,25,29
if n=5  - 01,06,11,16,21,26,30
if n=6  - 01,07,13,19,25,31
if n=7  - 01,08,15,22,29
if n=10 - 01,11,21,31

        If the Day Selection is not present if you only want every 14 days
        use the DAYS=Optional Days

        DAYS=01,15,31

8) When all seems to be working as you like, Edit CVTSTLOG.CFG and set the
        KILL=YES

A Logfile that has been converted will NOT be overwritten or reprocessed,
the original TSTHOST.LOG will be automatically deleted ( only after the
succesfull conversion and the KILL=YES is set in the CVTSTLOG.CFG File)
