Hi Ian and readers,

Ah, just love those future (family) units that can be switched off,
especially the wife unit. (;->) Rather reminds me of "I Mudd" of the
original Trek seies where Harry can switch of that nag. Hmmmmm, hen there
was his punishment, a whole series that couldn't be! The "sequel" Mudd's
Women was an intersting character study, rather liked that one.

Somehow the novels by most authors seem to be male dominated while the
movies are not, in fact they have some very good female characters. Well,
maybe Ms. Gabor on Venus or some feather headed Barbarella are
exceptions, but frankly Captain Janeway is my kind of woman!

Ah, Bab Five wasn't bad if you like politics and intrigue...

So, how about some of those British favorites like Doctor Who? "Would you
like a jelly baby?" Then there was Red Dwarf loosely based on Hitch
Hiker's Guide, both excellent with lots of offbeat humor.

We could go on and on, sci-fi with it's countless plots and premises
never ceases to be great reading or viewing, such things as The Forbidden
Planet are timeless. Those props were used and reused in countless movies
and TV shows for decades, constant reminders of Walter Pigeon, Leslie
Nielsen, Anne Francis and of course, Robbie. "You don't want to bounce
through this one, do you?" (;->)
