Yes - Me too. My old Nokia 5146 had an extended SMS alert that spelt out "connecting". The other - more common - alert was
"sms" ... -- ...
Having had a quick Google, the usually reliable Wikipedia says that the full alert was "connecting people" - the Nokia slogan.
