  Which people Andy, name them.

My programmes work OK in DOS and windoze...I've had a report that they
work with XDOSEMU under linux. (If there is a problem with some flavours
of windoze xp then that's too bad.) So I think that most amateurs would
be able to use my programmes.

99.9% of amateurs would be happy to have a free programme whether it's
a DOS or windoze programme. Very few would be interested in what language
it was written in, or even notice a novel feature in the programme.
e.g. The flashing cursor in HELIX.EXE which runs in graphics mode.

I do my bit for Amateur Radio by writing programmes and giving them away
in the true spirit of Amateur Radio. In the past two and a bit years I've
put out 10 different programmes not including the various new versions
(there are plenty more programmes that I could release). I've also put
out beta versions of two TPK utilities. These will be released later in
the year.
Everything I know about programming is by self instruction in the true
amateur way...I've never had a lesson in programming. I am proud of what
I've achieved so far, but there is lots more to learn.

In the last two years or so, my tally is 12 programmes given away.
So Andy, (as a professional programmer who could no doubt write a much
better programme than could I) how many programmes have you contributed
to Amateur radio?
I can't recall seeing any on packet radio or even a bulletin listing a
web site where fellow amateurs may download anything that you have written.
I'm not saying that you haven't, just that I can't recall seeing anything
on packet radio.
