Vibration was the culprit. I'm so used to trains passing that I tuned it
out and didn't realise what was happening at first. A large heavy freight
train probably being pulled by two or three diesel locomotives to help get
over the hills to the north of me, and on full throttle dragging the load
up out of an incline south of me.
