Why don't you use some sliding piezes of Coax inside a Copper-Tube, form a
"U" and move it in and out for varying capacity?
I did it with my 80 to 15 meter Magnetic-Square (not a round Loop in my
case), it is working fine! The moving is in and out via a very long screw
from a little motor with reduction-gear.
