Well if what I read is correct some nations have already gone the nuclear
way, and without any Chernobyls. Let's face it that tragedy was due to
poor design and negligence on the part of the country concerned. There are
probably more accidents in conventional power stations, oil rigs and coal
mines than in nuclear plants. Certainly we tolerate terrible carnage on
our roads with barely a sigh, but one accident in a nuclear plant sends
shock waves round the world. It is time we got our priorities right.
