Hi Andy and readers,
What does font have to do with it? You can translate the ASCII code to
any font you like and it all comes out the same if you know what font is.
The characters employed aren't part of the font at all, check it out the
next time you see one of John's diagrams. Perhaps a course in typesetting
is in order and you might learn the difference between Roman and Gaudy.
(;->)
Sure, some have difficulty reading the diagrams because of the character
limitations, I do but I manage. BTW, some such as myself have suggested
images, you don't need any special software for them contrary to what
some may say. The simplest is color ASCII that can be done up in DOS, I
had fun with it on packet long before someone got the bright idea of
using 7+ ASCII which also requires no special software or any
considerations out of the ordinary 7 bit handled every day right here on
your local BBS. Is a .jpg viewer some sort of rocket science? That's all
you need once all the parts are received and compiled. BTW, did you know
you can get around Internet e-mail limitations by splitting a multi
megabyte file apart and recompiling it on the receiving end? If some of
you guys would only read the help files you would know how to use a
computer to fullest advantage.
