Hi Pete and Winpeckers,

You wrote: "YES Dave there is an addon for winpack...It is called a
RADIO."
Uh, if you use a radio, don't you also need a TNC? Then if you use a TNC
of what use is Winpack or the computer for that matter for digipeater
operation? Gee, my rig and TNC often light up like a Christmas tree when
the computer isn't even on and I use Winpack software. I wonder how that
happens! (;->)

Uh, FYI he won't find anything useful in the Winpack docs regarding
digipeating, that's found in the TNC operating manual. Now if he's using
a Bay modem he doesn't need Winpack since Baycom is quite useful and
provides digipeat function but in either case he has to leave the
computer running the program 24/7 in order to provide reliable digipeater
operation for his users. Not too many packeteers want to do this and
provide sporadic or nonexistant digis.

Then too these land line lids may just want to try to use the "telnet"
function to provide a telephone repeater, but sorry guys, BT beat you to
it back around 1930. "Oh, what's he going on about now?" Just making a
joke for those who know what a telephone repeater is. (;->)
