Hi Gus,

So Slackware is still around? That's the second distro I ever
used, after I upgraded from SLS. I used to have it on 3.5"
floppies :-)

Anyway, when I get some time, I'll set it up on a VM and see
if I can find out why the amprd daemon doesn't like it. I might
even end up switching over to Slackware myself at some stage,
since I have compile my kernel and most of the packet software
from source as well, and I don't really need a lot of the fancy 
features of Debian and the associated complications that can
arise. It will be a nice trip down memory lane...
