Hi Matt,

this (my) divagation on RIPv2 matter is just for fun since
I'm doing the routing jobs as by JNOS2 and as by linux
kernel. My IP numbers are always pingable everywhere
and my systems are logging every new and old attackers.

I run Debian until 3.1 version but the packages dipendence
problems where hurting me enough... and since I want compile
everything and get the leading edge, if possible, I switch
to the Slackware and so stay here :)

My rule is: what can't be compiled and/or don't (correctly)
run on my standard platform is not good ...

I tried to run a virtualized platform to run a copy of
my Slack but found almost complicate/impossible... so
don't waste my time for doing that job :)

And, at last, I don't approve that Debian/Ubuntu or
CentOS/Fedora, et al groups which are developing some
kinda software for our fun or for rivality... that is
very far from the 'linux' style.

Hi Gus,
It shouldn't be too hard to get to the bottom of this. What
Linux distribution are you running? I am running debian for
my packet system, so I might not be able to replicate the
problem there, but it would be easy enough to set up a VM
with an alternative distro.
