Subject: Minimal IP Router

I do not believe there are any updates to the JNOS40 for the Data Engine. If
there are I would like to get a copy of it myself.
The original JNOS author no longer maintains JNOS. JNOS for PCs updates have
been continued by another author and are available by ftp on ftp.ucsd.edu.
Also the Data Engine is no longer sold by Kantronics. It was a tnc that used a
NEC Procesoor similiar to the 8086 used in a PC. It had room for 2 plug in
modem cards. The modem cards in the DE series were available for single 1200
thru 19K2 packet speeds. It makes a nice node or router using a 1200 modem for
user acces and a 9600 modem card for backbone linking.
