Hello,
It is probably old news for some, but if you're looking for a tiny,
dare I say 'cute' web server that is usefully featured but not weighted
with all that baggage you never used anyway like SSL and stuff then
I recommend you take a look at 'boa'. Boa is a tiny single threaded
web server. On my machine it compiles to a 60k executable and
runs in about 900k total of ram, that's only a little bit larger
than inetd on my system.
I found boa on the sunsite.unc.edu Linux ftp archive, but they have
a web site at http://www.boa.org/. They have some interesting reading
there.
regards
Terry

I probably run a smaller/faster one:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 httpd www 49152 Apr 14 12:18 /usr/local/bin/httpd
454 root 2 20 224K 464K sleep 0:06 0.00% 0.00% httpd

Check out http://sirius.ccii.unipi.it and you will see what hardware can
easily run it! You'll find a link to the server's main site if you're
interested on it. By the way, it's the XS httpd server.
Regards.
