Subject: Radiomodems
Hello Mike
I have some other modems but that is no matter....
Our modems are MOTOROLA 400MHz but:
they can work only as serial link. It means:
9600bps, 8bit noparity 1stopbit ! So it is not AX25 as it should be and
therfore also bycom drivers cannot work with it. Usual serial line would
work *axattach /dev/ttyS0) but usual driver for serial line does not "turn on"
before transmitting packet RTS and what's more, it does not control
presence of DSD (if it can start to transmit). I did not find anything
appropriate yet and for seeking in kernel LINUX sources I do not have
courage a I think it is not a suitable solution, although I will have to
do it anyway.
If you could advise something in this problem I will be very glad.
Thanks Fero Bachleda

Have a look at ftp://shadow.cabi.net/pub/Linux/scarabd-1.0.10.tar.gz, thats
a crude point 2 point driver for the scarab units which also need RTS/DCD
handholding
