It isn't showing, because you aren't sending it:
If you look at the serial data spec on Peet's web site, you'll see the
barometer is the 5th field:
$ULTW0000000001F602A0----000000000000----004D03F700000000
1 2 3 4 5 6
Most likely you need to calibrate the barometer...

Sorry, not yet. Thus far it is a couple of us batting a working
document back and forth trying to fill in the blanks. When it gets
closer, we'll probably see if there is any TAPR sponsorship available,
then produce a document and certainly post here.

I see that now!!! Just curious, but would you have to reset the calibration
after a power failure to the box??? Anyone know? I thought everything was
set but I haven't looked that close since Isabel... :)

Yes, it needs to be reset after power failure.

I don know the small quantity cost, but for those folks here needing
better battery consumption for 5V and 12V power supplies (TNCs and
GPSs)... and a drop in replacement for 7805 and 7812 linears... you
might look at the Datel device.
Same form factor... elimination of some filter caps... reverse polarity
protection... and what appears to be pretty good efficiency.

Not bad. However, what is the cost for this one?
Derek.

Also look at:
http://www-s.ti.com/sc/ds/pt5101.pdf
You can order a single quantity as a sample for free. I think these end up
being higher than the Datek model and are physically larger...
