Like I say, I don't think there is a complete list. Some are in the spec,
otherrs would need to be tracked down.

This is what I compiled... It is subject to change as I get updates on the
destination addresses. I graphed the larger numbers only.

That one is old. We don't use it anymore. Haven't for years.
Perhaps might see some APZ036? Xastir out there still, as SuSE Linux
is still distributing a very old version of Xastir on their CD's.

Bob B. periodically posts the current list. I would say look in the
archives, but...

Out of the APZ's posted on that earlier list, probably only these
few are Xastir:

APZ036 15
APZ031 2
APZ033 1

Of the APX's, I believe these are all Xastir:

APX121 144
APX120 68
APX114 11
APX113 10
APX115 7
APX100 6
APX110 6
APX112 5
APX130 4
APX131 4
APX111 1

Like always it's relative. Here aprs traffic is so slight homes or other
fixed locations beaconing 24/7 is not a problem. With UI-View anyway I have
an answering machine of sorts and I don't have to be at the keyboard to
receive a short note.--73

Noted, got your reasons for running a house beacon.

All are valid, and if your local channel isn't saturated, beacon away. Here
in Denver, I see a lot of house beacons, and the channel is usable, but
getting crowded. In not too much time, it may get crowded to the point
where I'm sure a lot of people will want steadfast 24/7 house beaconers to
rethink beacon rate and optimize outgoing path. Someday when I properly
interface my old laptop to UIView and a radio, I will get my own home
station up. I'll probably listen and gate much more than I beacon.

Client Software poll/discussion:
Leave open the possibilty that there are APRS users who don't use client
software, I don't. My use of APRS is almost exclusively for tracking high
altitude balloon payloads and for using too much technology to find the
tracking team lunch location after tracking the payloads. I use two
Kenwood D7's in the car, and a variety of custom PIC, tiny trak, and KPC3+
emitters in the air. Often we use a non-144.39 frequency because of
conjestion, but sometimes we do use 144.39. In fact, I was an APRS user for
over a year before I realized that "APRS" was a software program, for PC
computers, not just a descriptive acronym for "automatic position reporting
system".
