Your right, But if you live between Milwaukee and Chicago (Racine, WI)
it wouldn't be hard to figure out who's eating the bandwidth up. No
sense in a Public beating of the guy so that's why I protected his
callsign. So if you live in this area look at your map...... And use
this as more of a clue N9W*R....

I don't think this is a problem with the listservers or at least one they
can fix. More of one of the "cure" being as annoying as the "problem" and
also becoming a problem initself. Personally I think those who can't
dismiss spam in their inbox as the small stuff and employ email
confirmation, should rethink their need to participate in email lists or
groups. I never respond to the confirmation request, if by some chance I
make a brilliant noteworthy post and they miss it it's their loss ): .
Attempts to reduce the load on the network by spam can't be addressed at the
recepiant end and the confirmation service add additional load themselves.
So crazy--73

I have to agree Mike; I thought about inserting this sentiment in my first
post to the topic, but I figured I was coming off hard assed enough as it
was. Ask me(anyone) for help for something important I'm there if I can
help, but reducing your angst over spam isn't it, sorry --73

I just don't have the time to work on rabbit aprs anymore.... work, child,
and other projects seem to be getting all my time. Rabbit aprs was
working, but would periodically disconnect if connected to the full aprs
stream.... but since the advent of the java aprs filters, it should
work. Frankly, my interest has shifted to Mathew Cook's compact flash
bootable linux box with sound card modems as a replacement for this project.

Does anyone have an email address for KF4UXI? It appears as if he is
connected to the IS via an non-validated connection and I was going to see
if I could help him remedy this problem. Messages to his station go
un-acked. Very good weather data coming in, though. Gosh, I hope he is on
RF, too! That would be outstanding!

Radio-TV Cement Solvent. GC Electronics # 10-318.
Works like a charm, no residue.

While we're on the subject, can anyone recommend a rosin flux remover? I've
got this GC Tech aerosol stuff but it seems like you've got to use a ton to
avoid leaving residue. I've got no-clean solder, but it stinks, doesn't wet
as well as rosin, and still leaves a visible residue.
I've got a growing pile of assembled OpenTrackers here that need
de-fluxing...
