James, Here is a packet from FireNet's ALERT data with indeterminate
information contained in a 'valid' packet.
I would never ever expect to see 000 replace ... they are indeed
different as was point out. If you do not have the data, you don't have the
data!

Hope this helps...I'm liking your project but wished it was ready to plug
right into a radio! Integrate a tiny trak IOW.

one oversight with decoding packets - it looks like the only audio input
into the iQue is with the built-in microphone, so this would either have to
be a hardware modification, or coupled via the microphone to decode
packets. So decode becomes a little tougher.
But that doesn't make doing a tx-only version any harder.

Correction. Kenwoods dont decode every wx stn on the air.
The vast multitude of Stand alone weather stations that send the RAW "Peet
Brothers" Wx data are not decoded by Kenwoods. Only "official" APRS "over
the air formatted Wx" packets are decoded.
GRRRR!
This was a very myopic choice on their part. I wonder who told them this
was OK? The extremely sad part is, that *ONLY KENWOODS* dont decode this wx
data - every other flavor of APRS programs do. (including FINDU)
