So you're saying his location will be fixed for at least few years? What's
the lat/lon of the Arkansas State Penitentiary Varner Unit in Grady? Do we
have an APRS icon for that? :)

BTW, you can see Scott's current picture, courtesy of the Arkansas Dept. of
Corrections, if you know how to use the internet. Scott has filed an
appeal. He has exchanged his callsign for an ADC number - 127515.

Sad, but true...

I bet plenty would pay the price this Uniden will go for "on the street",
which will be around $450-$500 or so.
How many people buy TH-D7Gs?
How many more would buy them if they included a moving map GPS and were
waterproof?
People buy the Garmin GPS GMRS/FRS radios, don't they?
The lack of a built-in GPS reduced the utility of the Kenwood by a huge
amount IMHO. My new cell phone has a GPS in it and it was FREE!

Most APRS radios do not need to be high powered. Garmin, imho, has the
right idea with their Rino radios with the built in GPS and tracking
capability. Just ordered one myself from Ebay.
If the ham manufacturers could only do the same thing....but their market is
very limited (ham radio)compared to Garmins fairly unlimited market.

Trying to get the NWS shapefiles system working on registered version of
2.7.2 WinAPRS to work but they don't.
