As do I. Let's stick with the E-Mail route. Education plus that should
work on 90% of the QRM, and the other
10% will just have to be done some other way. Snail mail, face-to-face, or
software algorithms, in descending order of preference.

Scott,

I've just completed one year of continuous operation with a beta version
of the WXTrak and a Peet U2000. It has worked flawlessly, I highly
recommend it, it's simple to setup, cheap, easy to assemble and very
effective.

Thanks, that's just what I wanted to hear. Once it supports the 1-wire
station, I'll probably make that my standard config for the ultralight
flight areas around here. Can't get much cheaper than that.

The OpenTracker might one day support the weather stations as well, but
that's not high on my list right now. Development's delayed a bit again due
to the fact that I made a boneheaded mistake in my last parts order - got 10
of the wrong frequency crystal, so prototype C is inoperative. Back to
software debugging on prototype B for now...

On that subject, does anyone know why TTL oscillators draw so much power?
The unit on prototype B is rated at something like 15 ma, which is as much
as the MCU itself draws. Fine for debugging, but too power hungry for the
production version.

Hi all,
Well I'm back on APRS again. I rebooted and started my BUXTERM2 program
and it worked on 145.090 with out any problems. I then rebooted again and
started APRS and it is now working. I forgot to say in my other posts that I
could transmit but just not receive!

Tnx & 73,
Dave N0EOP
