Hi again.
When we spec. a new piece of fire apparatus or a new piece of police
rolling apparatus, it comes complete with 30amp A/P/P installation. It
is a very minor thing to get your equipment specified during the
order/bidding processes.

Also, if yours aren't made the same as the other guy's, you can reconfigure
one set so they match. Try THAT in 5 minutes, with a molex in the rain..
Where DID I put that pin-puller tool? I won't need to pull the pins on my
powerpoles, but I can do that with a pocketknife.

Works fine, whip some tape around it, and run. It's plugged into something
that has a fuse, or better yet a self-resetting breaker, right?
I also have a bag of powerpoles in the car, for the power-pole impaired.

I have made up APP jumpers with telco style (Popper) bed-of-nails 'gator
clips. These are nice, I can clip onto a battery terminal OR pierce the
insulation of the wire to get connection.
I also made up a jumper with a 5way binding post, one with a cigarette
lighter plug too. I also made up an octopus adapter, one 75A to 6 30A.
I have a battery box (one of those things that were being dumped after the
"Great Y2K Non-Event"... you know, has jumper cables and 150w inverter with
a SLA inside the case), I put a 75A APP connector on that, also have APP on
the battery in the van and one on the batteries in the motorhome... I also
put a 75A APP on the end of the jumper cables...
If the APP have a fault, it is the lack of panel mount connectors.
I agree about the Molex connectors... I have always hated those things, but
thread was beat to death a long time ago, and while halloween is rapidly
approaching, there is no need to resurrect that from the dead.

They make a panel mount thing.
I have it on my ammo boxes, four powerpoles.
