Air is even cheaper than hydrogen and doesn't explode... That's why I use
it!

A combination hot air/gas (of any kind - the first, which claimed the life
of its namesake, used hydrogen) balloon is called a Roziere. Breitling
Orbiter III is probably the most recognizable modern Roziere.

I have one.
I got it when he was saying "open source" rather loudly.
Now, it's said much more quietly, with a host of conditions, and an NDA.
I've asked for the NDA, never received it.
He has a programmer on board that seems to think that any three
instructions in a row is worth a million billion dollars.

The AVR does. Even the lowly 8515 will do external SRAM.
I've got two M128s in my printer project, with 256k of memory on each.

Is there any way to pull weather data from Findu or APRSWORLD databases? I
am looking for data from September during Hurricane Isabel.
Thanks,

Yes!
http://db.aprsworld.net/datamart/gnuplot/weather-plot.php?call=KB0VYO-12&start_t
dae 03-09-18&end_date 03-09-23
Of course, replace the callsign and dates with what you want. From there you
will be given a plot of the weather and the option to download a tab
delimited file that you can load into any spreadsheet software.

A new FireNet server is now available for general use. clspco.firenet.us
hosts both AHub and JavAPRSSrvr servers and provides an enhanced APRS data
stream. See www.clspco.firenet.us and http://www.dwrracesupport.com/fire/
for port and additional information.

KC4PL and I were testing tonight.... we are both running kpc3 8.2 firmware
on our home stations... his car is a d700 (obviously)
MYA <off>
UIDIGI RELAY,WIDE,SC,SMS
UIFLOOD SC,28,NOID
MXMIT ON
His car transmitted and both his station and mine heard it.
KC4PL-9>SSUY2S,RELAY,WIDE2-2: <<UI>>:'l9Zl!L>/]"4w}
My station digipeated it.....
KC4PL-9>SSUY2S,KD4RDB*,WIDE2-2: <<UI>>:'l9Zl!L>/]"4w}
His home station digipeated the original packet...
KC4PL-9>SSUY2S,KC4PL*,WIDE2-2: <<UI>>:'l9Zl!L>/]"4w}
My station digipeated his home station's copy of the packet...
KC4PL-9>SSUY2S,KD4RDB*,WIDE2-1: <<UI>>:'l9Zl!L>/]"4w}
Now, if dupe checking were working correctly, my station should have
digipeated the packet one time. When his home station TXed a copy of it,
my station should have realized that it had already digipeated that packet
and NOT TX'ed again.... but it did.... why?
I have a feeling that UIDIGI listing SC is NOT getting packets included in
the do not digipeat for x seconds. However, If his car TX's with a path of
simply WIDE2-2, then we loose the functionality of the NOID substituting
itself for the first callsign in the path.
How can we win here?

I have APRS Point up and running, I have it transmitting my position, I can
see myself on findu.com, but I cannot see other stations on the map.
I see the DCD LED light up so I know my receiver is working, I can transmit
my position, so I know that I am connected to the TNC, I did the right click
on the "positions" and said to show all RF stations.
The status bar at the left side bottom of th epage says that I am connected
to the TNC on COM7 at 9600 baud. This is where my TNC resides.
Can I monitor TNC raw data inside APRSPoint??
