Yes, Eric is correct. I've had MaxAge set to 3 for several years. I've
never seen a need to forward any bulletins that are older than that.
Any bulletins that I receive that are more than 3 days old are held
automatically. 

Doing the above does result in a bombardment of system messages indicating
a message was held because it was too old, but "K< SYSTEM" from the BBS
prompt will kill all of those at once.
