On March 5th was announced that Radio 10 Gold should go qrt on mediumwave.
The latest news is that the transmitterpower is lowered from 400 to 200 kW and
it is expected that the power will be lowered further till close down on June
30th or earlier.
Also announcements about transmitting on 1008 kHz have stopped. Only jingles
about transmitting on cable and Internet are broadcasted.
There are also new experimentel digital transmissions in the unused capacity
of the FM transmitters of Radio 538 in the so called FM eXtra mode. Programs
of Radio 538, Radio 10 Gold and Juize.FM are broadcasted in this mode. In the
programms this is not announced. In the USA, Italy and Norway there are
radio's available for this mode and it is expected that also in the
Netherlands these radio's wil come available.
