Aw come on Warren. The cricket ball is harder than a baseball and is
stitched with a seam which protrudes and the cricket players catch it from
75 yards away belted into the air by the batsman. What is the difference?
A six soars into the crowd and sometimes out of the park into the street.
If it drops short it is usually caght barehanded and it can be travelling
at 100 mph.
Your football players also get all armoured up to play the game, crash
helmets and all. Ours don't wear any protection except for some who wear a
helmet because of past injuries to the head.
I have played both games.First base is about as near to the firing line as
you can get with the others including the pitcher heaving the ball in your
direction with no warning at all.
Cheers,
