I am looking for spares for a 2nd hand VIDEO & DATA projector type VPL
V500QM recently bought.
I need to replace one of the 3 LCD pannels in it, (the size of a 35mm slide),
ideally from a scrap machine, as SONY PROFESSIONAL will only supply the whole
optics system including the zoom lens! (what a con, imagin ford not selling
an piston but only a new whole engine!)
The faulty LCD has is dark on the bottom 25% of the picture and it looks like
an open circuit addressing fault inside the display slide. I have moved the
faulty LCD to the blue light path to reduce it's impact & prove the fault off
the electronics.
The lamp is a dichroic mirror & Xenon Arc type, SONY part PK-PJ500 but on the
lamp is MSCR250 Y1H. Anyone know where I can find a spare under 400 UKP?
Also wanted is information on the projector as I have none, and I have no
remote control handset.
Any info on where I might find a scrap machine would be appreciated.
