Hi Ralph and aliens,

Uh oh, you woke the baby so stand by for rude remarks from the usual
sources. Like those ETs following our "radio beacon" they watch and wait
until an odd but decent discussion comes along and trash it. Nah, you
won't get abuse from me but you'll get plenty of cheeky remarks because
I'm a HAMster. (;->)

Off the top your "dish gain" figures of 58.8 and 60.4db seem about right
but still unknown is the gain of the 432MHz antenna itself. I guess we'll
just have to wait and see if they do any more ham experiments and publish
the figures again, I forgot where I saw them the first time around.

In any case just about every ham who ever used 70cM would give his eye
teeth for that modified Yagi alone and WISH he had a valley to put a
monster dish in. Now lemme see, do I want to ignite a tree on the horizon
or make some ham think ET is phoning home from the moon? (;->)
