Just out of curiousity what was this hassle ?

OK I may well have BUT I do know that you sent several bulletins to the
effect that no one had applied. Shortly after this time I never bothered with
packet, I was too busy working abroad so perhaps your two applications
were announced in this period.

Was the system designed to get mail from A to B in:-

a)3 weeks of less
b)2 weeks or less
c)1 week of less
d)none of the above

I'll give you a clue - I still occasionally get mail from the dark ages
via scrapgates ;-)

These delays are *incontrovertable* Andrew.

7plus or ascii - *2 weeks* IS typical of message delivery via the satgate
system.

OK - lets try and do something positive with this discussion.

Encourage more to learn about satgates and satellites in general.

Some of us have tried, but with appalling websites designed to deter anyone
from taking things further I gave up !

Trying to find out what satellites were still in operation usually
revealed out of date and conflicting information.

Trying to make sense of tracking programs was a sick joke, trying to find
which one I wanted and where to obtain reliable data for it was nigh on
impossible.

The satellite community only have themselves to blame for the apathy
amongst the masses.

I'd rather trust a Klingon.
