Hi Bob and all,

Aparently laws concerning copyrights and royalties in the UK are as 
convoluted as the rest of them in a nightmarish plate of judicial 
spaghetti. I figure from what you say Austrailia having free enterprise 
TV like the US (no sticky government entanglements) the persons involved 
are paid in a one shot deal and the rights are owned by the production 
company. After a broadcaster is through with endless (;->) repeats the 
show goes into syndication and other broadcasters may buy the rights. 
That's why Gunsmoke is seen round the world, Viacom (CBS) put it into 
syndication long ago.
