I used 27 megs occasionally when it was a ham band in Australia but there
were very few amateurs using it here. Most of the gear used in those days
did not cover that frequency until Geloso VFOs included it in their unit.
Then the illegal CB operators started using it and our Government found it
easier to kick the amateurs off than to enforce the law against piracy.
